Presenter Resources

Important Notes:

  • Arrival: Please arrive a few minutes before your presentation begins so you have time to set up.

  • Room Setup: A podium, microphone, speakers, projector, and screen will be provided in every room.

  • Materials: Please bring any materials, equipment, or adapters you may need for your presentation. If you are presenting from your laptop, please ensure you have the necessary connections (e.g., HDMI, USB-C, Thunderbolt, Lightning adapter, slide clicker, etc.).

  • Slide Decks: Your slides don't need to follow a specific format, and submission beforehand is not necessary.

  • Time Management: Presenters are responsible for managing their own time during the session. Please be mindful of the schedule and ensure your presentation, including any Q&A, stays within your allotted time.

  • Q&A: If you plan to do a Q&A, please fit within that within your presentation timeframe. Please repeat audience questions aloud before answering them.

  • Directions: A map of the hotel conference space is included below. If you have any special requirements or need assistance, please let us know in advance.

Poster Presentations

Poster Presentations:

Poster sessions will be held on Thursday, October 17th from 5:45-6:45 p.m. in the Ballroom A Foyer.

  • Posters are informal and involve one-on-one interactions with many attendees. During the session, conference attendees can wander around the room to browse the various posters.

  • Presenters are expected to stay by their poster for the duration of the session so participants can listen to your work and ask questions.

  • Please plan on bringing physical posters with you, including any materials needed for displaying. Display boards, tape, and magnets will be provided on your behalf.

  • The Poster Session space does not include power. No tables are provided. If you choose to provide handouts, you are welcome to do so, though many choose to simply provide a QR code.

We are happy to accommodate posters of almost any size. Here are some of the more common sizes we've seen:

  • 42" x 70" or 48" x 60" for smaller posters
  • 48" x 96" for larger posters
  • 30" x 42" for smaller, flat easel displays

If you choose to print your poster in SLC, the nearest FedEx Print & Ship Center is a short walk (10 mins) or accessible by the green/blue line with Trax (8 mins). You can visit the FedEx website for more information.

Standard Presentations:

In Standard Sessions, two to three groups will present on similar topics during one 60-minute time slot. This means that each individual group will have approximately 15-20 minutes to present. If you plan to do a Q&A, please ensure it fits within your 15-20-minute timeframe.

Please plan on arriving at least ten minutes prior to your presentation. This will allow you and the other Standard Presentation groups time to check the connections you bring (e.g., HDMI, USB-C, Thunderbolt, Lightning adapter, slide clicker, etc.) and ensure everything is working smoothly before your session begins.
